System/36

Obviously these venerable machines are now obsolete. A suitable replacement for them is an AS/400 utilising the M/36 where object compatibility is required.

If you have the source code then a better idea would be to go to the S/36E on an AS/400. It allows a better growth path, faster performance and the ability to utilise native hardware and software.

While we strongly suggest an upgrade there are still many companies not only running S/36 software but running it on a AS/36 (Advanced S/36).
