Unix

We currently have three Unix sites where we support the peripheral systems.

Site 1:

Unix mainframe that interfaces to a large network of PCs. Our job was to write an FTP/MS-DOS batch file upload/download utility in QBASIC. We provide ongoing advice in the PC area for this company.

Site 2:

Unix mainframe that interfaces with Windows 2000 Server and SQL Server 2000 to update tables stored in the SQL database. The SQL Server database is used with Microsoft Internet Information server to provide customers with online stock-level check, pricing and ordering facilities. Organising the database in this way minimises any security risk to the UNIX mainframe.

Site 3:

UNIX mainframe that interfaces to an AS/400 network. We are in negotiation to take over all aspects of support for this system.
